The deadly accident happened around 2:50 p.m. on September 6 on State Route 138 near Rancho Del La Garto.
Phelan, CA – The woman who was killed Saturday afternoon in a car accident in Phelan has been identified as Vickie Y. Presley, 63, of Menifee, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner.
The deadly accident happened around 2:50 p.m. on September 6 on State Route 138 near Rancho Del La Garto.
CHP said Presley was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Corvette westbound on the highway toward the I-15 freeway when she lost control near a curve. The vehicle veered off the roadway, traveled across a wash area, and rolled over several times. It came to a rest on its roof.
Presley was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident temporarily closed one lane of the highway.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
