Preliminary reports indicate that a person was hit by a Metrolink train on the tracks. It’s unclear why the pedestrian was on the tracks when the accident occurred.
LAPD officers and emergency crews arrived at the scene within minutes and the pedestrian was declared deceased at the site of the collision. The victim’s identity was not immediately released.
