Mojave, CA – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified a person killed in a Wednesday evening traffic collision on Highway 14 in Mojave as Jay Edward Easttom, 93, of California City.

The accident was reported at around 7:50 p.m. on March 12 on the northbound  State Route 14, south of Pine Tree Canyon Road.

Reports revealed that a semi-trailer truck struck another vehicle, and the driver crashed, causing the vehicle to go down a ravine.

Easttom was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
