Arvin, CA. – A driver died, and three others were seriously injured in a head-on collision that happened Wednesday morning on a highway near Arvin, the California Highway Patrol reported.

According to authorities, a 76-year-old man was driving a Toyota Sienna westbound on Highway 233 when, for an unknown reason, he swerved into the eastbound lane and collided with a Toyota Corolla driven by a 28-year-old driver.
The driver of the Corolla was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers in the Corolla suffered serious injuries.
The driver of the Sienna sustained moderate injuries.
All the patients were transported to the hospital by Hall Ambulance personnel in unknown condition.
Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.

A sedan and a possible SUV collided head-on for an unknown reason.
An unknown number of persons were trapped inside one of the cars.
Emergency personnel responded and extricated the victims.
One person died in the accident, as per the report.
Hall Ambulance personnel transported at least one person to Kern Medical Center with unknown injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
