Sacramento, CA. – Two people were hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Thursday afternoon in Elk Grove, the California Highway Patrol reported.
At around 3:08 p.m., authorities were notified of a collision on northbound State Route 99 near the Sheldon Road off-ramp.
About three vehicles, including a white Nissan Altima and a possible commercial truck with a trailer, were involved in the accident. Debris from the crash was scattered in the roadway.
Police officers and firefighters responded to the scene shortly after receiving reports of the collision.
Two people were injured in the crash. One of the patients was taken to Methodist Hospital of Sacramento with a hand injury, and the other was also taken to the same facility with minor injuries.
Several traffic lanes were closed during the investigation.
