Tucson, AZ – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident at an intersection in Tucson on Friday morning, according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
The wreck happened on South Alvernon Way and East Irvington Road, near Intersate 10 on Friday, December 19.
The PCSD reported that as many as six vehicles were involved in the collision. Reasons as to why the vehicles collided were yet to be determined.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and attended to several parties involved in the accident. Multiple patients were transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
The northbound Interstate 10 off-ramp to Alvernon Way and the westbound side of Irvington Road were shut down as authorities investigated the incident.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department is still investigating the accident to establish its cause.
