Tucson, AZ – Major injuries were reported in a traffic collision that took place on State Route 86 in Tucson on Monday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

According to the report, three vehicles were involved in the collision. The manner in which the vehicles crashed was not immediately established.
Emergency crews arrived shortly after and rendered aid to the involved parties. At least one person was determined to have sustained serious injuries.
The names of the people involved in the incident were not immediately disclosed.
Both directions of State Route 86 were shut down for hours as a result of the crash, according to the AZDPS. All lanes were reopened by 9:00 a.m.
No additional details on the accident were immediately released. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
