Tucson, CA – The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is conducting a deadly crash that claimed the life of a 21-year-old motorcyclist in Tucson on Thursday afternoon.
The accident took place shortly after 12:30 p.m. on June 18 in the area of West Orange Grove Road and North Tyler Lane.
Preliminary reports indicate that a car was making a left turn on West Orange Grove Road when it was hit on the passenger side by a motorcycle rider. The impact of the collision ejected the rider from his motorcycle.
The PCSD responded to the site of the crash and found the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The victim was identified as 21-year-old Brady Allen Matteson.
The driver of the involved car was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The driver’s identity was not immediately disclosed.
According to the deputies, the motorcyclist’s speed is believed to have contributed to the collision. The exact circumstances of the accident remained under investigation.
