Tucson, AZ. – A man was severely injured after being hit by a vehicle on Saturday evening in Tucson.

The Tucson Police Department said the pedestrian accident happened at Park Avenue and Bilby Road at around 8 p.m.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while walking on the shoulder of the road.

Paramedics transported the man to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Police do not suspect impairment as a factor in the accident.
