A news release from the WSP indicates that a vehicle was heading south on SR 507 when it tried to make a U-turn at Manke Road and collided with a vehicle traveling north.
Thurston County, WA – One person was taken to a hospital after being involved in a crash between two vehicles in Thurston County on Thursday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision occurred at around 11:20 a.m. July 30, on State Route 507 at Manke Road.

Debris from the collision struck another vehicle that was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection.
According to WSP, the driver of the vehicle that was struck by the turning vehicle, a 40-year-old man from Rainier, was taken to Madigan Army Medical Center on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. He was reportedly hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Impairment was not suspected to have played a role in the accident.
The collision led to a temporary closure of SR 507 as authorities investigated the accident. The cause of the collision remained under investigation.
