According to the Modesto Police Department, the crash occurred around 8 a.m. on October 25 at the intersection of Pelandale Avenue and Prescott Road.

Modesto, CA. – A man who was critically injured in a Modesto Car crash late last month has died from his injuries, authorities reported.
The Stanislaus County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Thomas Chantler, 51, of Modesto.
According to the Modesto Police Department, the crash occurred around 8 a.m. on October 25 at the intersection of Pelandale Avenue and Prescott Road.
Investigators said a 2005 Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Prescott when it collided with a 2009 Nissan Cube heading east on Pelandale.
The impact ejected Chantler from the Cube.
Bystanders performed CPR before medics arrived and transported him to the hospital in a critical condition.
He later succumbed to his injuries on November 2, police said.
The driver of the Honda Accord suffered minor injuries.
Police said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
The Modesto Police Department's Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the accident.
