San Andreas, CA.- Tara Miller, 54, of Arnold, was seriously injured in a deadly collision in San Andreas on Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Highway 12, west of Central Hill Road at about 3:45 p.m. February 4.
According to the report, a 16-year-old Valley Springs boy was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup west on Highway 12 when he tried to pull into the slow lane and noticed another vehicle in the same lane.
The teen swerved back into the fast lane and slid into the path of oncoming traffic, sideswiping a 2014 Jeep Cherokee driven by Weston Stu Lac, 27, of Columbia.
The Jeep then collided head-on with an eastbound 2005 Dodge Ram truck driven by Miller.
A passenger in Miller's vehicle was taken to Mark Twain Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
Miller was taken to San Joaquin General Hospital with major injuries.
No one else was hurt in the crash.
The CHP reported that DUI was not suspected to have played a role in the incident, which remained under investigation.
