Investigators reported that a 67-year-old Federal Way man was driving an SUV southbound on Interstate 5 when he crashed into the rear of a second SUV that was driven by a 54-year-old Longview man.

Tacoma, WA – two men were taken to the hospital after being involved in a collision between two vehicles early Friday morning in Tacoma, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The wreck took place on Interstate 5 near South 72nd Street at around 5:51 a.m. August 7.
Investigators reported that a 67-year-old Federal Way man was driving an SUV southbound on Interstate 5 when he crashed into the rear of a second SUV that was driven by a 54-year-old Longview man.
The two motorists were transported to a hospital for treatment. There was no update on the condition of the injured drivers.
The accident caused a closure of Interstate 5 for over one hour as authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
According to WSP, impairment was not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
