Sylmar, CA – A woman was trapped inside her vehicle Friday morning following a traffic collision on West Polk Street in Sylmar, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Los Angeles fire and medical crews were dispatched at approximately 8:26 a.m. to the 14100 block of West Polk Street near Foothill Boulevard after reports of a traffic collision with a person trapped. Upon arrival, responders located a female driver pinned inside the vehicle’s driver’s seat.
LAFD said firefighters and paramedics worked together to rapidly extricate the woman, who was reported to be in fair condition. She was treated at the scene before being transported to a hospital for further medical care.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
