Sylmar, CA – Two people were injured following a two-vehicle crash on Little Tujunga Canyon Road Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The collision occurred on Little Tujunga Canyon Road at approximately 4:19 p.m., CHP confirmed.
Authorities reported that the crash involved two vehicles, identified as a gray Ram pickup truck and a silver Toyota pickup truck.
The collision resulted in lanes being blocked, prompting an emergency response to the scene.
CHP confirmed that the passenger was hospitalized with major injuries, while the driver reported complaints of pain and was also transported for evaluation. No fatalities were reported, and no arrests were announced.
The cause of the crash has not been determined and remains under investigation by CHP.
CHP officers responded to the scene and were assisted by the Los Angeles Fire Department, which provided medical aid, transported the injured parties, and helped secure the roadway.
The crash caused temporary lane blockages and traffic disruptions along Little Tujunga Canyon Road. A SigAlert was issued during the response and later canceled once the roadway was cleared and all lanes reopened.
The Sylmar crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol as authorities continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the collision.
