Birdsall was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and later died
Ventura, CA. – Susan L. Birdsall, 83, has been identified as the woman who died in a car crash two weeks ago in Ventura.
According to the Ventura Police Department, the accident happened around 1:45 p.m. on February 15, at Loma Vista Road and Victoria Avenue.
A Lexus SUV was eastbound on Loma Vista and was traveling the intersection when it clipped a GMC pickup that had been turning right onto Loma Vista from northbound Victoria.
The impact caused the truck to overturn and the SUV to flip onto its side.
Both occupants of the SUV had to be extricated.
Birdsall was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and later died.
The driver remained in serious but stable condition.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
