Surprise, AZ – The man who was killed in a big rig crash that happened at a Surprise intersection early Friday morning has been identified as Christopher Sehak, 35, according to the Surprise Police Department.
At about 3 a.m. January 2, authorities responded to reports of a crash in area of Grand Avenue and Dysart Road.
A blue Toyota Prius was among the vehicles involved in the accident. Details on what led up to the crash were not immediately released.
Sehak was killed in the crash. Several other parties were taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
Grand Avenue was shut down in both directions for several hours as emergency personnel worked at the scene. According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, all roads were reopened at around 9:30 a.m.
The accident is under investigation by the Surprise Police Department.
