Sunnyvale, CA – A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Central Expressway in Sunnyvale late Thursday night, according to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Authorities reported that the crash involved a sedan and a truck, and one of the drivers, a woman in her 50s, became trapped inside her vehicle.
The woman was found unresponsive and was extricated from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not yet been released.
The other driver, a man in his 30s, was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. He was later arrested on suspicion of felony DUI. Additional charges are pending.
Investigators believe alcohol or drugs may have played a role in the crash. The suspect reportedly refused to provide a statement or submit to a chemical test.
