, CA. – A student was seriously injured Wednesday morning after being struck by a vehicle outside Pioneer High School in Woodland, according to the Woodland Police Department.

The crash happened around 8:20 a.m. near the intersection of Pioneer Avenue and Patriot Way, prompting a brief medical lockdown at the school.

The student appeared to be on a when they were hit by a possible pickup .

Authorities said the seriously injured student was taken to a hospital for treatment. Their current condition remained unknown.
