Woodland, CA. – A student was seriously injured Wednesday morning after being struck by a vehicle outside Pioneer High School in Woodland, according to the Woodland Police Department.
The crash happened around 8:20 a.m. near the intersection of Pioneer Avenue and Patriot Way, prompting a brief medical lockdown at the school.
The student appeared to be on a bicycle when they were hit by a possible pickup truck.
Authorities said the seriously injured student was taken to a hospital for treatment. Their current condition remained unknown.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Police closed the northbound lanes of Pioneer Avenue between Patriot Way and East Gibson Road during the investigation.
