Stevenson Ranch, CA. – A 14-year-old student driving an electric was injured after being hit by a car near the West Ranch High School campus on Tuesday.

According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station officials, the pedestrian accident happened around 8:47 a.m. in the 26200 block of Valencia Boulevard.

A white pickup struck the juvenile, but the circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately determined.

The student was injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital, but police did not disclose the severity of injuries sustained by the victim.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
