Culver City, CA. — A 42-year-old motorcyclist who died in a single-vehicle crash in Culver City early Sunday morning has been identified as Steven Long, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

The collision occurred around 1:15 a.m. in the area of Washington Boulevard and Kensington Avenue.

Culver City police said the rider was traveling eastbound on Washington Boulevard at a high speed when he lost control of the motorcycle and was thrown off.

First responders found Long in the parkway between the sidewalk and curb and rendered life-saving aid.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The roadway was closed for several hours and reopened at approximately 6:45 a.m. Sunday.

The crash remains under investigation.
