According to investigators, a Toyota driver made a left turn into the deputy’s path, causing the crash.

Bellflower, CA. – A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy and a civilian were hospitalized after a car crash occurred Tuesday afternoon in Bellflower.
The collision was reported at around 4:15 p.m. near Artesia Boulevard and Virginia Avenue. Officials said the deputy from Lakewood Station was responding to a service call but was not using lights or sirens at the time.
According to investigators, a Toyota driver made a left turn into the deputy’s path, causing the crash.
Both vehicles were damaged, and the deputy and civilian were treated by Los Angeles Fire Department crews at the scene before being taken to the hospital.
Their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Traffic near the intersection remained affected for several hours while authorities investigated the crash.
