Beaumont, CA. Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident that happened late Sunday afternoon in Beaumont, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The pileup took place around 5:40 p.m. on the westbound 10 Freeway just east of Pennsylvania Avenue.
Reportedly, a white sedan went off the freeway onto the right-hand shoulder, hit a chain-link fence and a road sign, and bounced back onto the roadway, where it collided with several other vehicles.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found four vehicles, including a Toyota Corolla and a Porsche, involved in the collision.
Several people were injured in the crash, including the driver of the Porsche, a passenger in one of the cars, and an occupant of the Toyota Corolla.
Paramedics transported the driver of the Porsche to Riverside University Health System and two others to San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital. All patients sustained minor injuries.
CHP officers are investigating the cause of the collision.
