Scottsdale, AZ– At least one person was seriously injured in a crash at an intersection in Scottsdale on Monday morning, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.
The wreck happened near Pima and Via Dona roads at about 7 a.m. on February 16.
Police reported that two vehicles were involved in the crash. Limited details were immediately available on the circumstances of the accident.
Firefighters with the Scottsdale Fire Department were called to the scene to render aid to the involved people.
After evaluation, one person was transported to a local trauma center and was said to be in serious condition.
The Scottsdale Police Department officers were gathering more evidence and information as they worked to determine the cause of the accident.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage in the accident. Pima Road remained shut down while authorities investigated and cleared the scene. The roadway was reopened by 9 a.m.
