Ventura, CA.- The elderly pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Ventura on Saturday afternoon has been identified as Sarita M. Davis, 76, of Ventura, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office.
The collision took place in the area of Chestnut Street and Thompson Boulevard at around 12:15 p.m. March 15.
According to Ventura police, a pickup truck was on a green light making a left turn from southbound Chestnut Street onto Thompson Boulevard when it hit Davis in the crosswalk.
Davis was rushed to Ventura County Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased on Sunday.
The 33-year-old driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene.
The Ventura Police Department is conducting an investigation into the accident.
