Santa Barbara County, CA – A man was injured Monday afternoon after his vehicle crashed off Highway 154 and came to rest approximately 20 feet below the roadway near Stagecoach Road and East Camino Cielo, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The crash was reported at approximately 3:23 p.m. January 5.
Fire officials said the driver was able to exit the vehicle on his own and walk back up to the roadway before first responders arrived.
Paramedics evaluated the man at the scene before transporting him by ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. He was treated for minor injuries.
During the emergency response, one eastbound lane of Highway 154 was temporarily closed.
No additional injuries were reported, and the circumstances leading up to the crash were not immediately released.
