San Luis Obispo, CA – One person was injured in a crash that led to the arrrest of a suspected DUI driver late Wednesday night in San Luis Obispo.
The San Luis Obispo Police Department reported that the crash took place just before 11 p.m. on July 8, on Marsh Street and Carmel Street.
According to the report, a man was driving a Ford pickup truck the wrong way on Marsh Street when he attempted to make a left turn onto Carmel Street and collided with a Chevrolet pickup.
San Luis Obispo police and emergency crews responded to the site of the crash shortly after and attended to the involved motorists.
The driver of the Chevrolet reportedly sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Ford was suspected to have been intoxicated at the time of the collision. The driver was arrested and booked on DUI charges.
No further details on the accident have been released at this time. The collision is still under investigation.
