
San Jose, CA. – One person was injured in a pedestrian accident in San Jose on Monday morning.
The auto-pedestrian accident happened around 6:10 a.m. at Keyes Street and 7th Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident involving a 40-year-old woman.
The pedestrian sustained leg injuries and was found lying in the street.
More details about the accident were not released.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.

By 2022, San Jose saw 3,036 total fatal and injury victims, including 361 alcohol-involved crashes, over 318 pedestrian victims, and high counts in bicyclist and speed-related categories. In 2023, the trend continued with 3,294 killed or injured, 377 alcohol-related cases, and elevated speed-related and hit-and-run collision counts, indicating that serious traffic crashes have remained a major safety issue in San Jose.
