According to the San Jose Police Department, Villegas was riding a 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on N. Tenth Street when he collided with a northbound 2001 Toyota Tundra pickup truck that was making a turn into a parking lot.
San Jose, CA – The man who died after colliding with a vehicle while riding a motorcycle in San Jose last month has been identified as Jose Villegas, 64, of San Jose, according to the authorities.
The deadly crash occurred at around 2 p.m. June 22, on North Tenth Street south of US Highway 101.
According to the San Jose Police Department, Villegas was riding a 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on N. Tenth Street when he collided with a northbound 2001 Toyota Tundra pickup truck that was making a turn into a parking lot.
Villegas reportedly sustained major injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. Authorities earlier indicated that the rider’s condition had been stablished.
However, Villegas was reported to have succumbed his injuries a week later at the hospital.
The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and was cooperative with law enforcement. There were no reports of any arrests in connection with the accident.
