According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck happened just before 6:40 p.m. April 15, on eastbound Interstate 80 at the Bay Bridge

San Francisco, CA – Two people were injured in a collision with a motorist suspected to have been involved in street racing on Wednesday evening near San Francisco.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck happened just before 6:40 p.m. April 15, on eastbound Interstate 80 at the Bay Bridge.
Preliminary reports indicate that a white sedan was allegedly racing with another vehicle towards the East Bay area when it got into a collision with a pickup truck on the Bay Bridge.
CHP and emergency personnel arrived within minutes and helped the people involved in the accident.
Two parties were transported by medics to a hospital. There injuries were described in the CHP report as minor. Authorities did not disclose the identities of the injured patients.
The vehicles involved in the crash were disabled in the roadway and the eastbound lanes of I-80 were shut down as authorities worked to clear the scene.
There were no reports of any arrests in regards to the collision and it’s unclear whether alcohol or drugs factored in the incident.
The California Highway Patrol is handling an ongoing investigation into the crash and further details are expected to be released.
