San Diego, CA – Authorities are investigating an accident that left a pedestrian hospitalized in the Colinas del Sol neighborhood of San Diego on Tuesday afternoon, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The accident happened in the area of El Cajon Boulevard and 54th Street at around 4:15 p.m. on June 2.
The SDPD reported that a 54-year-old man was walking across 54th Street when he was hit by a Nissan Titan that made a turn onto 54th Street from eastbound El Cajon Boulevard.
The pedestrian was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. His name was not released by the authorities.
The involved driver, a 29-year-old man, was unhurt and stayed at the scene.
Police reported that impairment was not suspected to have been a factor in the accident and no arrests were made.
