San Bruno, CA – A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle late Thursday night on the 101 Freeway in San Bruno, the California Highway Patrol reported.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle under unclear circumstances.
Emergency personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
About four vehicles were stopped on the right-hand shoulder with their hazard lights on, but it was unclear if all of them were involved in the accident.
Multiple traffic lanes were closed during the investigation. All lanes were back open at 1:08 a.m. Friday.
