Monterey County, CA. – The Monterey County Coroner's Office identified the woman who died in a head-on collision Sunday night on Espinosa Road as Melanie Manalac, 45, from Salinas.

According to the California Highway Patrol, at least two vehicles collided head-on, blocking both the eastbound and westbound lanes. Debris from the collision, including vehicle parts and glass, was scattered across the roadway.
Manalac died in the crash.

Monterey County, CA. – One person was killed Sunday night in a head-on collision on Espinosa Road between Salinas and Castroville, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported around 7:30 p.m. on Espinosa Road just south of Rodgers Road.
CHP Monterey announced that the roadway was closed in both directions between State Route 183 and Christensen Road to allow officers to investigate the scene, advising drivers to use State Route 156 as an alternate route.
One vehicle was positioned in the eastbound lanes and another in the westbound lanes, with debris — including broken parts and shattered glass — scattered across the roadway.

A woman from Salinas died in the incident.
