According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the incident took place in the area of Walerga and Roseville roads at around 7 a.m. on April 27.
Initial reports indicate that a person was struck by a freight train on the tracks near the intersection. Details on what led up to the collision were not immediately available.
CHP and firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after and located the pedestrian.
