Preliminary reports indicate that a 58-year-old woman was walking across Shasta Lily Drive, outside of the crosswalk, when she was hit by Honda Civic traveling south
Elk Grove, CA – A woman died days after being struck by a vehicle earlier this month in Elk Grove.
According to the Elk Grove Police Department, the incident took place on Shasta Lily Drive, just north of Sheldon North Drive, at about 8:15 p.m. on April 8.
Preliminary reports indicate that a 58-year-old woman was walking across Shasta Lily Drive, outside of the crosswalk, when she was hit by Honda Civic traveling south.
Medics transported the woman to a hospital with critical injuries. According to Elk Grove police, the woman was declared deceased at the hospital on April 14.
The woman’s identity is yet to be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
The Honda driver, who was not identified, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
