Sacramento, CA – A vehicle struck and critically injured a pedestrian in Sacramento on Wednesday night, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
The incident took place near Florin Road and 29th Street shortly before 10 p.m. March 25.
According to the authorities, a pedestrian was walking near the intersection when they were hit by a vehicle. It wasn’t clear how the vehicle struck the pedestrian.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and located the severely injured pedestrian.
The victim was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. Authorities have not released the identity of the injured victim.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Investigation Unit and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene and conducted the onscene investigations.
The driver of the involved car was at the scene when the authorities arrived and was cooperative with law enforcement. Police reported that DUI was not believed to have played any role in the crash and no arrests were made.
