Sacramento, CA – A late night crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian left one person with major injuries in Sacramento on Wednesday.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, officers were called shortly before 10:15 p.m. April 2, to the incident in the 2900 block of Ramona Avenue.

The police report indicates that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the area. Authorities were still trying to figure out how the collision took place.

Police and emergency personnel responded to the scene and located the severely injured pedestrian.

Medics transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was said to be in stable condition.

According to Sacramento police, the involved driver stayed at the scene after the collision and cooperated with the authorities.

There were no reasons to believe that alcohol or drugs played any role in the accident, according to the investigators.
