Sacramento, CA – Two people were injured after a car struck a pedestrian and slammed into a building in Sacramento on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported at around 3:30 p.m. April 15, in the 2600 block of El Camino Avenue.

Initial reports indicate that a vehicle traveling in the area lost control and hit a pedestrian, before crashing into the side of a building. It’s unclear what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.

The California Highway Patrol and the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District crews responded to the scene and located two patients injured in the crash.

The two patients were transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. One of the injured parties was a pedestrian and it’s unclear whether the second victim was riding in the involved vehicle.

Authorities did not release the identities of the involved parties. There were no reports of any arrests or citations in connection with the crash.

No additional details on the accident were immediately available. The California Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the crash.
