Pleasanton, CA. – Rowena P. Coronel has been identified by the Alameda County Coroner's Office as the woman who died after being struck by a car in Pleasanton on Tuesday evening.
The accident happened around 6:1 p.m. at the intersection of Main and Neal streets, according to the Pleasanton Police Department. Coronel
The 56-year-old woman was struck by a car at the intersection in unclear circumstances.
Coronel was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Authorities said drugs and/or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
