According to the Oregon State Police, the mishap happened at around 10:26 p.m. January 1, 2025, on Interstate 84.
Union County, OR – Two people, identified as Robert Fred Kenyon,60, of Nampa, and Steven Bradly Botter,47, of Spokane (WA), were killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Union County Wednesday night.
According to the Oregon State Police, the mishap happened at around 10:26 p.m. January 1, 2025, on Interstate 84.
A preliminary report revealed that a Mack commercial motor vehicle and trailer, operated by Kenyon was stopped at the chain-up area installing chains on his vehicle due to roadway conditions.
A westbound Freightliner commercial motor vehicle and trailer driven by Botter left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck the parked Mack.
Another westbound Freightliner commercial motor vehicle and trailer, operated by Sing Manvir,28, of Fresno (CA), struck the vehicles from the primary collision as they entered the roadway.
Kenyon and Botter were pronounced dead at the scene.
Manvir was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The roadway was impacted for approximately ten hours during the on-scene investigation.
An investigation is underway
