Novato, CA — A construction worker was seriously hurt in a Novato construction accident early Wednesday morning when a van hit a work truck and the worker, the California Highway Patrol said.

Caltrans said the crew was working overnight on the Marin-Sonoma Narrows project, but referred questions to the CHP.
Lanes were shut for hours as CHP investigated, and traffic was diverted to the shoulder.
