The crash was reported just before 10:15 a.m. involving a 1974 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a maroon Ford Fusion.

Rohnert Park, CA. — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday morning following a collision with a car on southbound Highway 101 near Golf Course Drive in Rohnert Park, authorities said.
The crash was reported just before 10:15 a.m. involving a 1974 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a maroon Ford Fusion.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Ford was traveling in the left lane when the driver swerved to avoid debris, lost control, and veered across lanes.
The Harley-Davidson then struck the car's right front side, ejecting the rider.
Emergency crews performed CPR at the scene, but the motorcyclist later died at a nearby hospital.
The Ford's driver was not injured.
CHP officials said light rain had left the road wet, which may have contributed to the crash.
The southbound lanes of Highway 101 were closed for about two hours, reopening around 12:30 p.m.
The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office will release the victim's identity once the next of kin are notified.
