Ortega was ejected from the pickup truck and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Murrieta, CA. – Rafael Ortega, 45, has been identified by the Riverside County Coroner's Office as the man who died in a rollover crash on Wednesday night in Murrieta.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 9:20 p.m. on the northbound Interstate 15 near Clinton Keith Road.
The Corona resident was driving a Ford F-150 northbound on the freeway when he lost control, travelled up an embankment, and overturned.
Ortega was ejected from the pickup truck and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
