Murrieta, CA. – A 45-year-old man from Corona died Wednesday night after his pickup truck overturned along Interstate 15 near Murrieta, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred shortly after 9 p.m. on northbound I-15, just south of Clinton Keith Road.
CHP officers said the driver of a 2005 Ford F-150 was traveling at an unknown speed when he lost control, veered off the roadway, and went up a dirt embankment. The truck overturned, ejecting the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt.
Emergency crews from the Riverside County Fire Department arrived within minutes and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
