Portland, OR – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in southeast Portland early Sunday morning, according to a report by the Portland Police Traffic Division MCT.
The incident took place at around 1:42 a.m. July 12, in the area of Southeast Stark Street and 138th Avenue.
Investigators reported that a man was struck by a vehicle near the intersection. The circumstances under which the incident occurred were not immediately established.
Police responded to the site of the collision shortly after and located the victim. The pedestrian, whose identity was not immediately released, was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene after the collision.
The Portland Police Bureau is conducting an investigation into the collision.
