Man Killed in Phoenix Collision at 44th Street and Dale Lane Identified

Phoenix, AZ – 24-year-old Cole Chadwick died after he ran a stop sign and collided with another car Friday evening while driving through an intersection in Phoenix, the Phoenix Police Department reported.

The collision was reported around 7:30 p.m. on August 28, 2026, at 44th Street and Dale Lane.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Chadwick was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck westbound on East Dale Lane when he ran a stop sign and collided with an Audi sedan.

Phoenix Fire Department personnel rushed Chadwick to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

A man and a woman in the Audi were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of the Audi was cleared for DUI.

Detectives from the Phoenix PD’s Vehicular Crimes Unit are investigating the collision.
