Perris, CA — An 8-year-old Perris girl died after a two-vehicle crash that injured several people Saturday evening at the intersection of Rider Street and Ramona Expressway, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
The County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased juvenile as Camila Leon.
The collision occurred at approximately 5:35 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Rider Street.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash, and one of the vehicles caught fire following the collision.
Six people, four in critical condition and two in stable condition, were transported to local hospitals for medical treatment. One of the patients, identified as Camila Leon, later succumbed to her injuries. She was pronounced dead at Riverside University Health Systems in Moreno Valley at approximately 6:04 p.m.
Details on how the two vehicles collided were not provided. No arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.
The crash resulted in an emergency response near the intersection while firefighters and deputies worked at the scene and transported injured victims for treatment.
