Peoria, AZ- Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Crash near 79th Avenue and Olive Avenue

Peoria, AZ – One person was hospitalized with major injuries after a motorcycle collision at a Peoria intersection on Thursday morning.

At around 7:30 a.m. September 24, the Peoria Police Department responded to reports of a crash near 79th and Olive avenues.

Preliminary reports indicate that a passenger vehicle was involved in an initial accident with a parked construction vehicle.

A fire truck responding to the crash was attempting to block traffic and was struck by a motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was then hit by two other vehicles at the scene.

The rider was wearing a helmet and was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries.

There were no reports of any other injuries in the incident.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Peoria Police Department.
