Fresno, CA.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Fresno on Saturday night, according to the authorities.
The accident was reported at around 9 p.m. on Palm and McKinley avenues.
According to the report, a pedestrian on an electric wheelchair was crossing Palm Avenue from the west side to the east when they were hit by a southbound vehicle.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital, where the victim died.
The involved driver stayed at the scene after the accident.
Police reported that the pedestrian was crossing the roadway outside of a crosswalk.
The accident is under investigation.
