San Diego, CA.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Village on Wednesday evening, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The incident took place on El Cajon Boulevard east of 63rd Street at about 7:15 p.m. March 19.

Police reported that a man was struck by a vehicle on the eastbound side of El Cajon Boulevard.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
